Otmar Schissel von Fleschenberg ( German: Otmar Schissel von Fleschenberg ; 1884 - 1943 ) is an Austrian philologist.
He was mainly engaged in ancient Greek and Byzantine (partly Latin) prose, both from a historical perspective and as an appendix to general theoretical issues, belonging in this regard to the new German rhetorical school (see, for example, disposition ). He also prepared a number of editions of late antique literature (for example, the publication “De reditu suo” by Claudius Rutilius Namatsiana in the original and with a German translation, 1920 ).
