Pharmacological action
- It has a short (2-3 hours) and moderate hypotensive effect, is well tolerated. It causes expansion (short) of the cerebral vessels and is therefore especially indicated for forms of arterial hypertension due to chronic hypoxia of the brain due to local circulatory disorders (sclerosis of cerebral arteries).
- Increases the synthesis of nucleic acids and proteins, stimulates the immune system (promotes the formation of antibodies, phagocytosis , the synthesis of interferon ). Immunostimulating activity is associated with the regulation of the ratio of cGMP and cAMP concentrations in immune cells (increases the content of cGMP), which leads to the proliferation of mature sensitized T and B lymphocytes, their secretion of mutual regulation factors, cooperative reaction and activation of the final effector function of cells.
- Reduces the content of free calcium in smooth muscles, causing them to relax.
- Facilitates synaptic transmission in the spinal cord.
Indications for use
- An early stage of arterial hypertension.
- Hypertensive crisis .
- Diseases of the internal organs, accompanied by spasms of smooth muscles (stomach ulcer and duodenal ulcer, pyloric and intestinal cramps, hepatic and renal colic , etc.).
- Neurological diseases, especially the residual symptoms of poliomyelitis in children, the consequences of birth injuries , facial paralysis and other diseases of the nervous system in the recovery phase.
- As an immunostimulating agent.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity . Arterial hypotension and a tendency to low blood pressure.
Side effects
- ECG degradation due to decreased cardiac output
- Allergic reactions
- Increased sweating
- Dizziness
- Headache
- Feeling of heat
- Nausea
Special instructions
It is not recommended to prescribe for prolonged treatment of arterial hypertension, especially in elderly patients.
Dibazole is not intended for the appointment of treatment without the participation of a doctor.
Interaction
Prevents an increase in OPSS due to non-selective beta-blockers. Enhances the hypotensive effect of hypotensive and diuretic drugs. Phentolamine enhances the hypotensive effect of bendazole.
Criticism
Bendazole is not recommended for use “For the treatment of gastroenterological diseases”, according to the “Negative List of Medical Technologies” of the Formulary Committee of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. [2] This list contains medical technologies whose inefficiency or danger is considered proven in certain types of treatment.
