Story
In this book, Violet, Klaus, and the Sun will still try to get the sugar bowl, but they will end up with deadly mushrooms and uncomfortable diving suits. Young heroes will have to go down the Corrupted Stream in a broken sleigh; to find the submarine “Quickweg” with Captain Widdershins, his stepdaughter Fiona and the cheerful Cheerleader from the Happy Smells sawmill.
The book is intended for children over 9 years old.
Cultural references and literary allusions
- The name of the submarine “Quickqueg” refers us to the savage Quickiqueg from Herman Melville’s novel “Moby Dick” .
