Kern, Ludwik Jerzy

Ludwik Jerzy Kern ( Polish: Ludwik Jerzy Kern ; December 29, 1920 , Lodz - October 29, 2010 , Krakow ) is a Polish writer . The author of prose works, poems for children and song texts, including the hit song “Silent Water”. In Russia, he is best known for his works on the dog Ferdinand: “Ferdinand the Magnificent”, “Wake up, Ferdinand”, and also “Listen, elephant”.
