Vladimir Arkadyevich Krasnopolsky (real surname Krasnopolsky-Ledov ; born in June 14, 1933 , Sverdlovsk ) was a Soviet and Russian film director, screenwriter. People's Artist of the RSFSR ( 1983 ). Winner of the State Prize of the USSR ( 1979 ).

Biography
Born on June 14, 1933 in the family of the artist of the Sverdlovsk State Theater of Musical Comedy Arkady Vladimirovich Krasnopolsky (on the stage of Ledov, 1900-1971) and choreographer Olga Nikolaevna Knyazeva .
In 1955 he graduated from the Faculty of History and Philology of the Ural State University , in 1963, the directing department of VGIK (workshop of I. P. Kopalin ). In the years 1961-1963 - director of the Sverdlovsk Film Studio , since 1964 - the film studio " Mosfilm ". Member of the CPSU since 1971 .
From 1963 to 2015, all the directorial and screenwriting works of Krasnopolsky (except for the plot for the film magazine "Wick", 1968) were performed together with his second cousin [1] [2] brother Valery Uskov .
In 2016, their separate works were first presented.
