Lacombe, Guy

Guy Lacombe ( fr. Guy Lacombe ; born June 12, 1955 , Villefranche de Ruerg ) is a French footballer and football coach. During the coaching career, he changed many clubs, including PSG and Monaco . Winner of gold medals at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles .

Game career

Lacombe was part of the French team , which won a gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles . He played for “ Albi ”, “ Nantes ”, “ Tour ”, “ Toulouse ”, “ Rennes ”, “ Lille ” and “ Cannes ”.

Coaching career

Former coach of the Paris Saint-Germain football club, playing in Ligue 1 , as he was replaced by Paul Le Guén in January 2007 due to unsatisfactory results. Lacombe was also the manager of clubs such as Rennes and Sochaux . He raised several talented players at once, such as Benoit Pedretti and Jeremy Menez . On June 3, 2009, Lacombe left Rennes and went to Monaco , with whom he signed a contract until June 2011, replacing Ricardo Gomez , head coach, Brazilian.
