Biography

Sergey Petrovich was born on July 17, 1966 in the town of Nezhin, Chernihiv region. In 1989 he graduated from the pediatric faculty of the Kiev Medical Institute. Postgraduate training was held in the clinical residency of the Kiev Medical Institute and the Medical School of the University of Pennsylvania.

From 1992 to 2003 - Assistant, then Associate Professor at the Department of Hospital Pediatrics, Kiev Medical Institute (in present - Pediatrics No. 2 of the National Medical University named after A. Bogomolets ). From 2003 to the present - Professor of the Department of Pediatrics No. 2 of the National Medical University named after A. Bogomolets.

Head of the research sector of the National Medical University named after A. Bogomolets (1999-2003). Executive Secretary of the Association of Pediatricians of Ukraine (1999—2003). Member of the Board of the Association of Pediatricians of Ukraine.

In 1992 he defended his thesis "Functional state of the myocardium in children with heart rhythm disturbances according to ultrasound doppler cardiography and echocardiography ", in 1998 - his doctoral thesis "The state of the cardiovascular system in children who underwent anti-and intrapartum hypoxia, and his pathogenetic correction. Pupil of Professor V. M. Sidelnikov . In 2004 he was awarded the title of "professor."

Consultant of the Kiev City Children's Clinical Hospital №2. He has the highest qualification category in the specialty "Pediatrics", certificates of Good Clinical Practice.

Honored Doctor of Ukraine (2016).

Author of scientific research in the field of neonatology and pediatric cardiology. There are known works on the study of the hemodynamic role of cardiac dysrhythmias, persistent fetal circulation syndrome, antimicrobial therapy in children, etc.

He has training in evidence-based medicine (USAID, 2007) and the GCP. The author of about 600 scientific and educational works, of which 25 are textbooks, manuals and monographs.

Awarded Honorary diplomas of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Honorary diploma of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Diploma of the Presidium of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Honorary diploma of the Kiev mayor, Gratitude of the Kiev mayor, "Emblem of honor" of the National Medical Chamber of Ukraine, Honorary Diploma of the Ukrainian Association of Pediatricians. Winner of the Ukrainian Prize named Dr. Reckewega.
