Starlab Observatory is a private amateur astronomical observatory in the territory of Karachay-Cherkessia , Russia , which worked in 2000–2001. The founders were Anton Lipsky and Timur Kryachko. It was located on the territory of the former station “Kosmoten” (now the branch of the “Optical observation station“ Arkhyz ”) owned by the Scientific-Production Corporation “ Systems of Precision Instrumentation ” , adjacent to the territory of the Specialized Academy of Sciences , 1.5 km west of BTA . At the moment, in the pavilion, where the main instrument of the observatory was previously located, is the FAVOR camera (WFOC wide-angle camera). The main instrument of the observatory was the 250-mm meniscus Cassegren. In 2006, on the basis of the North Caucasian Astronomical Station of KSU, T. Kryachko continued similar work in the form of the Astrotel observatory.
