Content
Portfolio Builder
Portfolio Builder - the module was created to collect all projects that may be potentially interesting for the formation of a portfolio of projects in the future. Portfolio Builder has the following steps for building a project pool:
- Creating a Project Request , that is, checking the project for compliance with the strategy, the ratio of profitability and risk, a general description of the idea of creating this project, etc .;
- Approval (after the creation of the application);
- If the project is approved, a business plan begins to be developed;
- After the approval of the Business Plan, this project becomes interesting for the organization and in the future it is considered for compliance with the strategy and goals of creating the portfolio.
Portfolio Optimizer
This module is responsible for optimizing projects in the portfolio, their selection and ranking from more priority to less. In order to rank projects in the best way, you first need to set the strategic goals of the company in order of highest priority. Project Portfolio Server will automatically calculate the rating of these goals. The next stage is the assessment of projects for compliance with strategic goals. Then, the economic efficiency of the projects and the volume of investments for their implementation are determined, resulting in a bubble chart that allows you to make a preliminary forecast about the projects that will be included in the portfolio. The second stage when working with the Portfolio Optimizer module is the selection of projects for further inclusion in the portfolio, taking into account their compliance with various restrictions (usually financial). Thus, it turns out the most effective set of projects in the portfolio, which is subsequently accepted for implementation.
Portfolio DashBoard
This module is designed to monitor projects for compliance with the current values of indicators to planned. This is a fairly convenient and intuitive tool that allows you to identify existing problems for surgical intervention at the macro level. Basically, monitoring takes place on such indicators as: risks, schedule, resources, etc.
