Vose district ( taj. Noҳiyai Vose ) is an administrative district in the Khatlon region of the Republic of Tajikistan . Named for the leader of the 1885 popular uprising - Vose.

The regional center is the urban-type village of Khulbuk , located on the Yakhsu River (the Panj basin). The territory of the Vosey region is 3630.9 km 2 .
Aral railway station is located 18 km south-west of the city of Kulob . There is a brewery. Salt is being mined.

History
It was formed on August 19, 1957 under the name Aral region of republican subordination as part of the Tajik SSR . By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Tajik SSR of February 25, 1961, it was renamed the Vose district, and by a decree of September 20 of the same year, it was renamed Vose district.
From December 29, 1973 to September 8, 1988, and also in 1991-1992, the Voseisky district belonged to the Kulyab region , until it became part of the Khatlon region .
Geography
Voseisky district in the north borders with Temurmalik and Khovaling districts, in the east - with Kulyab district, in the west - with Dangarinsky district, in the south - with Hamadani and Farkhor district of Khatlon region.
Population
The population as of January 1, 2015 is estimated at 194,300 people, including the urban population in the village of Khulbuk - 11.7% or 22,700 people [1] .

The head of the Vosey region is the Chairman of the Hukumat, who is appointed by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan . The head of government of the Voseisky district is the Chairman of the Hukumat. The legislative body of the Voseisky district is the Majlis of people's deputies, which is popularly elected for 5 years.
