Pride Park Stadium is a football stadium in the city of Derby , the home arena of the Derby County club.

The stadium with a capacity of 33597 seats was opened on July 18, 1997 , replacing the old Baseball Ground , used by the club for more than a hundred years . The official ceremony was attended by Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain . On August 4, 1997, the first friendly match between Derby County and Sampdoria took place . Interestingly, the first official match against Wimbledon fell through due to problems with spotlights .
March 18, 2000 against “ Liverpool ” a record was set for attendance at the stadium at club games - 33,378 people. On May 25, 2001, a friendly game of the national teams of England and Mexico (4-0) was visited by 33,598 spectators. To date, that game remains the only game of the adult national team in the history of the stadium. Also at the stadium four games were held by the England Youth Team (under 21 years old) .
On November 14, 2013, the leadership of the Derby County club announced that the name of the stadium would be changed to iPro Stadium, since the club had signed a £ 7 million contract for a period of 10 years with the producer of energy drinks [1] .
