It is located 60 km south-west of the district center - Askiz village. The nearest railway station Askiz is 30 km away.

The number of households is 430, the population is 1,113 people, mainly Khakasses , as well as Russians and Germans.
Infrastructure
On the territory of the village are the collective agricultural enterprise "Kyzlas", the forestry of the Birikchul mekhlekhoz, a consumer society, a local hospital, a secondary school, a children's music school, the Kyzlas kindergarten "Kunichek", a cafe.
