Content
History
Until 1954, Brekhov Lane was named after the name of the homeowner, even earlier Grachevsky Lane was also named after the homeowner and Maly Spasochigasovsky was named after the Church of All-Merciful Savior in Chigasy, which, according to legend, was built by a certain Abbot Chigas in 1483 (closed in 1926, then dismantled) . The 5th Kotelnichesky was called Spasochigasovsky. The modern name is based on the palace Kotelnicheskaya settlement that existed in this area, where the craftsmen who made the boilers lived.
Description
4th Kotelnichesky Lane starts from the 5th, runs first to the north, then turns at a right angle to the west and goes down to the Moscow River to Kotelnicheskaya Embankment. An internal passage connects it with the 3rd Kotelnichesky .
