Slacker Uprising is a documentary by American director Michael Moore , shot during a tour of 60 US college campuses ahead of the 2004 presidential election . The tour was designed to motivate young Americans to vote. The film is an edited version of the film “Captain Mike Across America” ( Captain Mike Across America ), which was shown at the Toronto Film Festival , which was held from 6 to 15 September 2007.
