The village is located on both banks of the Velikaya River , 20 km north of the district center Pustoshka .

The population of the village at the end of 2000 was 359 inhabitants. [1] The current population of the village is about 100 inhabitants.
History
There is no exact date of foundation, but it is absolutely certain that it was founded before the district center of the city of Pustoshka . In Soviet times , there was a collective farm millionaire . Now he has a ruined hydroelectric power station , a house of culture, an unfinished store and various buildings for agricultural needs.
Until 2005, the village was part of the now-abolished Vasilkovsky parish with the center in the village of Kriukh .
