Danny participated in the first rosters of the Montrose band. After leaving the band, he performed with former Montrose members Ronnie Montrose and Jim Alsivar in the Gamma band.
He also performed and recorded albums with the groups Heart (in 1982-1992), Coverdale and Page , Whitesnake (in 1991-1993), and David Coverdale .
