Evgeny Vasilievich Spektersky ( October 15, 1875 , Ostrog - March 3, 1951 , New York ) - Russian jurist and social philosopher , professor at the Imperial University of Warsaw , dean of the faculty of law and rector of Kiev University .

Biography
Born in the family of a justice of the peace. Mother is of Swiss descent, thanks to her, from childhood she knew French and German well. He graduated from high school in Radom .
In 1898 he graduated from the Law Faculty of the Imperial University of Warsaw . After graduation, he was left at the department of state law to prepare for a professorship. The degree of candidate of law received for the work "Jean-Jacques Rousseau as a political writer." In 1901-1903 he was on a scientific trip abroad.
Since 1913 - Professor at Kiev University of St. Vladimir . In 1918 he was elected Dean of the Faculty of Law, and later rector of the University of Kiev .
In 1920 he emigrated. He lived in Czechoslovakia , where he was a teacher at the Russian Law Faculty in Prague . Then he moved to Yugoslavia , where he was a professor at the University of Belgrade and the University of Ljubljana (1930-1945). In 1934 he was elected a corresponding member of the Serbian Royal Academy of Sciences .
After the end of World War II, he moved to the United States . Since 1947 - professor at the Orthodox St. Vladimir Theological Seminary in New York . The first chairman of the Russian Academic Group in the United States .
He died in New York on March 3, 1951 .
