“Runway” ( azerb. Uçuş xətti or Arxada qalmış gələcək ) is a military science fiction film by the Azerbaijani director Rufat Asadov, telling about the fate of a refugee boy from Karabakh who has fallen from the present into the past, in Karabakh, where fighting is taking place . Filmed at the Azerbaijanfilm film studio. The script of the film was written based on the story by Sergei Abramov "In the front-line forest" [1] .

Content
Story
2004 year [2] . The film begins with everyday scenes in a refugee camp. A refugee from Agdam [3] , a boy named Samed, on behalf of whom the story is narrated (performed by 14-year-old Agamehdi Abidov), leaves the village and, lost in the forest, falls into a war of ten years ago , in a unit of the active Azerbaijani army, which there is a task - to destroy the enemy airfield. The military also does not understand where the boy came from. But the unit commander, Malik (played by Fuad Poladov) does not believe that the boy appeared in a supernatural way. He teaches the boy how to survive during the war. In one of the shots, Malik tells Samed: "... there are feelings that conquer the fear of death: hatred of the enemy and love of the motherland . "
The enemy is represented in the person of the Armenian and Russian mercenary Shmarov in incriminating colors. So, in one of the shots, the mercenary says: “Soviet power is over, Armenian, Azerbaijani - I don’t care who has money - I will have a dolma ” .
The fighting in the film takes place behind the scenes.
In the finale, the boy is again at home, not understanding whether he saw everything in a dream or if he fell into a real war, but received a patriotic lesson and male experience.
