Birgit Prince ( German: Birgit Prinz ; October 25, 1977 , Frankfurt , Germany ) is a former German soccer player . She spent most of her career at the Frankfurt Women's Club, for which she played for a total of 13 years.

Content
Club career
Prince began his career at the youth club SV Dörnigheim FC. She had her first appearances in the Bundesliga for the Frankfurt Men's Club , where she played from 1992 to 1998 . At Frankfurt, she won two championships and two cups. After the Prince moved to the Frankfurt Women's Club in 1998 and won seven more championships and cups. As before for the " Frankfurt Men's Club ", inPrince ’s club was a duet with Sandra Smisek . They were nicknamed Keks und Krümel (Cookies and Baby). In 2003, the Prince rejected the offer from the Perugia Serie A club, for fear of falling into the men's team as a reserve [7] . At one time, for the " Frankfurt Men's Club ", the Prince won many personal awards, including the Football Player of the Year in Germany from 2001 to 2008 . From 2003 to 2005, she was thrice elected FIFA Player of the Year . On August 12, 2011, she announced her retirement [8] .
National Team
The prince played her first match for the German national team on July 27, 1992 at the age of 15 against Canada. In 1995, she was the youngest player to ever play in the World Cup finals . She is a player of the basic structure and has different records. In November 2003, Prince was identified as captain of the team. As part of the German national team, Prince won the World Cup twice, in 2003 and 2007 . She also won the UEFA Women's Football Cup five times. The prince with 14 goals is the best scorer of the world championships of all time, as well as the best scorer at the Olympics with 10 goals (together with Christiana ). The prince is one of the most famous football players in the world.
