History
- The village of Tuligolovo was founded in the first half of the 17th century .
- Near the village a settlement of the times of Kievan Rus was discovered.
- The first written records of the village date back to the late 16th-17th centuries. The village is mapped on Little Russia, compiled at the beginning of the 17th century by the French engineer Boplan, who was in Ukraine at that time.
- For centuries, Tuligolovoye, like many settlements of the Sivershchyna, carried the burden of civil strife, battles, liberation uprisings, in which the Cossacks of Tuligolvo played an important role. But in peacetime, as evidenced by archaeological finds, they were engaged in pottery and agriculture. A common occupation was making boots.
- Since 1782, Tuligolovoye is a volost center. The Tuligolov volost was part of the Glukhovsky district of Novgorod-Seversky governorate, from Little Russia in 1796 , and from the Chernigov province in 1802 .
- Since the end of the XVII century Tuligolovoye passed into the possession of local landowners Lozovsky, Litvinchuk, and others, although these facts are not documented, nor is it confirmed that the peasants were serfs.
- According to old-timers, free Cossacks and state peasants lived in the village. In the XIX century there were two churches - the Transfiguration (wooden) and the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin (brick). The first church-paraphian school in the village was opened in the house of a clerk in the 70s of the XIX century. It is also known that the Tuligolovskiy public school operated in the village.
- At the beginning of the 20th century (before the revolution of 1917), there were more than 800 private peasant farms in the village. In addition to agriculture, the villagers were engaged in other works and crafts. By that time, the steam mill of the nobleman Litvinchuk and two mills of brothers worked in the village: the nobleman Joseph Yakovlevich Golovnya and the nobleman Fedor Antonovich Golovnya. There were enough windmills, there was an oil mill. They were engaged in villagers and tarring, as well as sewed boots made of leather homemade. And women at that time wove a cloth from their own hemp raw materials. Trade was also established in the village.
- From 1923 to 1926, Tuligolovoye was a district center.
- On the fronts of World War II, 421 villagers fought, 177 residents were forcibly taken to Germany, 38 died in their native land during the occupation, Grigory Menshun , a native of the village, became a Hero of the Soviet Union.
