The bridge over the Volga is a bridge over the Volga near the village of Sorochy Gory [1] . The name Alekseevsky Bridge is found in official documents [2] .

This structure is of great importance for Tatarstan in particular, and Russia as a whole, as it is part of the P239 Kazan - Orenburg – Kazakhstan border border and the Europe-Western China Eurasian transport corridor [3] .
The total length of the bridge crossing is 13,967 meters, including bridges: across the Kama - 1,608 meters, across the Arkharovka and Magazine rivers - 549.9 meters and 69.8 meters, respectively.

The nearest alternative bridge road crossings: across the Kama - at Naberezhnye Chelny ( Nizhnekamsk hydroelectric station ), through the Volga - at Kazan ( Zaymischensky bridge ) and in Ulyanovsk ( Presidential bridge ).

Construction History
Construction of the bridge began in 1992. The bridge was built by Mostootryad No. 3 of Volgomost OJSC, Tattranshydromechanization CJSC and Kazdorstroy Trust. On October 22, 2002, the opening of the first stage of the road bridge took place.
The bridge connected the Zakamsk districts of the center and south of Tatarstan with a fast and safe year-round road connection with Kazan, significantly influenced the socio-economic situation of these areas and the mobility of the population living in them. The bridge also made it possible to significantly reduce travel time between Kazan and the south-east of the republic , Samara , Tolyatti , and Dimitrovgrad .
Before the opening of the bridge, there is a transport link between the banks at Sorochy Gory was carried out in the summer with the help of a ferry; in winter, on the ice of the Kuibyshev reservoir .
After the opening of the bridge, the airports of Chistopol and Nurlat were closed due to the lack of need for air communication with Kazan.
On August 30, 2016, the President of Tatarstan Minnikhanov R.N. solemnly opened the bridge completely.
