Educated in Birmingham and at Oxford University , then worked for a while at a real estate agency. From 1903 to 1907 he studied painting at the Slade School of Fine Arts , then at the Westminster School of Art , under the direction of Walter Sickert , in 1908 - 1910 . Sickert's influence is felt in many of the artist's works.

In the period from 1911 to 1913, M. Drummond participated in the work of the Camden Town art group. One of the founding members of the London group of artists in 1914 ; consisted in it until its dissolution in 1921 . M. Drummond taught painting at Westminster School of Art until 1931 , when, after the death of his wife, he left London for his homeland, in Berkshire .
