Bharata - the ancient Indian musicologist , the author of " Natya-shastra " - one of the oldest treatises on theatrical art and drama theory, dated by scholars from the 4th century BC. er II century n. er Bharata is considered the father of the Indian theater, and Natya-shastra is considered the basic text on Indian music and dance. It presents the theory of three types of acting skills, discusses in detail the classical Indian vocal-instrumental music and classical Indian dances, which are an integral part of the Sanskrit drama. The Natya Shastra codifies classical Indian dance Bharatanatyam and classifies ten types of Sanskrit theatrical forms (natya / rupaka). Bharata also describes various races (moods, emotions) that have had a noticeable influence on the formation of the nature of Indian dance, music and theater.
