Troitsk ( Moksh. Troitsya ) is a village in the Kovylkinsk district of Mordovia . Located on the banks of the Moksha River at the confluence of the Sezelka River , 10 km northwest of Kovylkino . The center of the Trinity rural settlement .

Troitsk was founded in the XVII century as one of the fortresses on the notch line. In 1708 he was reckoned with the Azov province , in 1732 - with Voronezh . From 1780 to 1798 it was the county center of the Penza province , after which it became a provincial city, first of the Nizhny Novgorod province , and from 1801 - the Krasnoslobodsky district of the Penza province. June 6, 1925 transformed into a village.
According to the census of 1897, 5822 people lived in Troitsk, including 99.5% of Russians [1] .
Located on the river. Mokshe , 10 km from the district center and the Kovylkino railway station. The name of a religious character. It was founded in the 16th century. In the Civil War of 1670-1671. Trinity Ostrog was a stronghold of the rebels. Peasants of Troitsk participated in the Civil War of 1773-1775 . Since 1780, Troitsk has been a county, since 1798, the provincial city of Nizhny Novgorod, and since 1801, the Penza province . In the “List of Populated Places of the Penza Province” (1869) Troitsk is a non-staff city of 704 yards of the Krasnoslobodsky Uyezd; there were 4 churches, a rural school, a post station, a marina, a fair and a bazaar were operating. In 1912, there were 1,209 households in Troitsk (6,899 people); Zemstvo school, medical and veterinary stations, a bakery, a water mill, 3 podsranki and churns, 4 wool coats, 2 prusses, 6 bakeries.
In 1918, a party was created. In 1929, the Red Giant collective farm was organized on the basis of TOZ, and in 1997 the Giant LLP. In a modern village - a secondary school, a library, a cultural center, a local hospital, a bakery, a post office, a veterinary site, a shop; a monument to the soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War; Church of the Nativity of Christ (1879). Near Troitsk there are 3 villages of the Middle Ages (investigated by E.I. Goryunova).
Troitsk is the birthplace of the complete St. George cavalier A.M. Nachinkin, a participant in the Civil War of 1918-1920. M. F. Sekachkin, Hero of the Soviet Union A. G. Kotov, Major General N. I. Semikov, mechanical engineer A. A. Nachinkin, teachers M. V. Lentovskaya, N. V. Dokukina, M. V. Kiseleva, sculptor M. I. Feokritova, former prosecutor for special assignments under the USSR Prosecutor General’s Office P. I. Bardin. The Trinity village administration includes the village. Kalinovka (43 people).
