Career
Club
Pasquale Foggia began his career in the Kral Branco children's football team. From there he went to the Padova football school. In 1999, Foggia was exchanged for Roberto De Zerbi and transferred to Milan . In 2000, Foggia moved to Treviso , which made his debut in series B. Then he played for the club for two more seasons, playing in the C1 series , where Treviso flew. In 2003, Foggia moved to Empoli , where he spent a year and a half. In the winter of 2005, he moved to Croton , having spent the second half of the season at the club. Then Foggia spent the season on loan at Ascoli , playing 34 games and scoring 4 goals.
In the summer of 2006, Foggia returned to the ownership of Milan, but on August 31 Lazio was rented. On January 23, 2007, Foggia was acquired by Lazio as part of the deal for moving to Milan by Massimo Oddo . After that, Foggia moved on loan to Regina , which he helped to stay in Serie A. In the summer of 2007, Foggia was rented by Cagliari with a purchase option for 8 million euros. As part of the Cagliari, Foggia became the team leader and staff member of the club. In particular, he scored two penalties against Juventus . On October 24, 2007, Foggia became involved in a conflict with teammate David Markini [1] .
In June 2008, Foggia returned to Lazio, wanting to play for this club [2] . In the first round of the championship, he scored his second goal for the Roman club, hitting the gates of his former team, “Cagliari”. However, in subsequent matches Foggia began to enter the field only from the bench. In January 2009, Zenit St. Petersburg [3] [4] became interested in Pasquale's services, but the deal did not take place. In the middle of the season, the team’s head coach, Delio Rossi , began to trust Foggia with a place in the starting lineup of Lazio, which changed the scheme to 4-4-2 for him. May 13, 2009 Foggia won his first career trophy - the Italian Cup . June 11, 2009 Foggia extended the contract with Lazio until 2013 [5] . In the summer of 2010, Foggie became interested in Moscow Spartak , which offered 10 million euros for the Italian transfer [8] .
On August 31, 2011, he transferred to Sampdoria on a one-year lease with a possible right to buy out [9] [10] .
International
In 2006, Foggia participated in the European Youth Championship , held in Portugal. There, “Azzurra Squadra” took off after the group stage of the tournament.
October 13, 2007 Foggia made his debut in the first team of Italy , coming on as a substitute during the match with Georgia . Roberto Donadoni , head coach of the national team, also used Foggia in the next game, against South Africa .
On June 6, 2009, 2 years after being called up to the national team, Foggia was again in the camp of the national team: in the game with Northern Ireland he went on the field and scored a goal [11] .
