FastMail is an Australian email service company. The range of actions of the company extends not only to private customers, but also to small and medium-sized businesses ^[1] .

After Opera Software acquired FastMail on April 30, 2010 , the Norwegians announced that it was planning to update both its own Opera Web Mail project, which had long lost popularity among users due to the cessation of development, and improved FastMail. The Opera Web Mail user database will be transferred to the FastMail server. In addition, integration will be carried out with the Opera browser (including the improvement of the Opera Mail mail client), the social network My Opera ^[2] ^[3] . Opera Software opened its office in Melbourne based on the existing FastMail ^[4] ^[5] .

On September 26, 2013, FastMail announced it was disconnected from Opera and became a private independent company ^[6] .
