V. Ya. Urizchenko designed more than ten models of aircraft - ekranoplanes, of which two self-propelled, on which he performed test flights.

Biography

He was born in Chimkent on November 8, 1941, where the family of a military pilot was evacuated from Izum (Ukraine). While still in high school (school number 4, Kremenchug, Ukraine) showed great interest in aircraft modeling and design. In 1959 he entered the Kharkov Aviation Institute at the aircraft building (first) faculty. He graduated from the institute in 1965 with a degree in aircraft dynamics. Got a distribution at the Institute of Hydrodynamics of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR (IG Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR), where he was engaged in physical modeling of ekranoletov, under the guidance of Dr. n Panchenkova A.N.

In 1970, due to the cessation of funding for work at the Institute of Geography of the Ukrainian SSR, a group of employees led by A. N. Panchenkov moved to Irkutsk and was accepted by academician L. A. Melentyev at the Siberian Energy Institute (SEI SB AS USSR) as amended topics towards the development of asymptotic methods for solving applied problems, including heat balance problems. In parallel with this, on the basis of the student scientific society of the Irkutsk Polytechnic Institute , an ADP 1 ekranolet was designed. Urizchenko V. Ya. Was the leader of a group of students, an assembly worker and a tester of this apparatus on the ice of Lake Baikal in 1971. In this test flight, he received the effect swelling of the aircraft - ekranolet near the screen, in connection with which further developments were aimed at the construction of self-stabilized ekranoplanes.

In the years 1972-1979. He led the construction of a self-stabilized self-propelled WIG model ADP-05 on the basis of the Irkutsk Polytechnic Institute and its construction on the basis of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant.

Participated in the creation of a stationary test base in the village. Balagansk (Irkutsk region). In 1980-1985 led a permanent scientific expedition based on this base and tested the self-propelled models ADP-05 and ADP-05M created. Work ceased after 1991 due to lack of funding.

WIG "ADP-05M

Structurally, the ADP-05 presented the “Canard-ADP” layout scheme, only with two, as it were, spaced apart: ADP-04, connected by common wings - fore and aft. and in the middle on a high platform there was an 8-seater cabin from K-30 snowmobile with the AI-14 engine placed on it. The first flights of the ekranoplan showed that the installed fuselage proves a lot of resistance. It was decided to replace the non-streamlined cabin from the snowmobile with a truncated cabin from the Yak-12 aircraft. After the alterations, "Orpheus" again goes to the test and flies beautifully. The tests were filmed on the Konvas movie camera and a film was subsequently created with the assistance of the East Siberian newsreel studio. The modernized version of the ekranoplan received the abbreviation ADP-05M.

WIG ADP-05M. Fraternal Sea, 1985

Tests of the ekranoplan "Orpheus" were carried out in the winter on the Bratsk Sea in the period 1979-1982. The main result of these tests is the conclusion on the possibility of creating self-stabilized ekranoplanes.

In the period 1982-1984. ADP-05 design was improved. The main difference between the ADP-05M and the ADP-05 is the replacement of the K-30 snowmobile cabin with a standard cabin. Successful tests of the ADP-05M were performed in 1985.

The main tactical and technical data of the ekranoplan ADP-05M are given in the "Prolog" (part II. Ekranoplans A. N. Panchenkova).
