Biography

Born May 21, 1955 in Saratov . He graduated from Penza School No. 6 with teaching a number of subjects in English , the Ulyanovsk Guards Higher Tank Command School named after V.I. Lenin with a gold medal (1977), the Military Academy of the Armored Forces named after Marshal of the Soviet Union R. Y. Malinovsky with honors (1985) , Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (1996) [1] .

He served as platoon commander, company commander, chief of staff and battalion commander in the Kiev military district (1977-1982), deputy commander of a training tank regiment (military unit 47866, Kovrov ), tank commander, deputy commander of the 4th Guards Tank Kantemirovskaya Division named after Yu.V. Andropov in the Moscow Military District , commander of the 121st Motorized Rifle Division (1997-1998), commander of the 81st Guards Motorized Rifle Division (1998-2000), chief of staff and commander of the 35th Combined Arms Army of the Far Eastern Military District ( 2000 - 10.2003), deputy commander of the troops (October 2003 - April 12, 2005), chief of staff (April 12, 2005 - December 31, 2008), commander of the troops (December 31, 2008 - December 10, 2010) of the Far Eastern Military District .

The military ranks of “ Major ” and “ Colonel ” were assigned ahead of schedule. On June 12, 2006 he was awarded the military rank of Colonel General .
