Biography
Viktor Petrovich was born on August 26, 1949 in the city of Odessa , Ukraine [1] .
After serving in the army, Victor started a family and moved to Moscow with her in 1971 [2] . At first he worked in Moscow as an artist in the Palace of Pioneers.
Since 1971 he worked in the publishing house " Planet " as an art editor, where he first encountered a photograph [2] . It was here that he began his photo career. Since 1975 he became a free photographer [1] . In 1978, Viktor Petrovich graduated from the faculty of photojournalism of the Moscow Institute of Journalistic Excellence [1] .
In 1980, he became a member of the Moscow City Committee of Graphic Artists, in 1987 - a member of the Union of Journalists of Russia , and in 1991 a member of the Union of Photographers of Russia [1] .
From 1991, until his death, he headed the photo service in the Russian historical journal of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation “Rodina” [1] .
Since 1996, a member of the Association of Advertising Photographers of Russia.
In 2006, Viktor Petrovich was diagnosed with cancer . In 2007, he underwent chemotherapy and was preparing for surgery [3] .
On May 23, 2009, in the hospital No. 68, Victor Gritsyuk died after almost three years of suffering from a cancer tumor [3] . May 27 was buried at the Zherebyevsky cemetery ( Zherebyatievo village, Domodedovo district, Moscow region) [4] .
