Content

Name Origin

It is named for the large industrial region of Ukraine - the Donetsk coal basin - in connection with the location of the street in the southern part of Moscow [2] .

History

The street was laid during the construction of 1971 - 1972. Originally called - Projected passage 5140 [3] . In the working village of Biryulyovo , which has been located near the street since 1964, Donbasskaya Street existed, and after being included in the line of Moscow, this street was abolished during redevelopment, and on October 16, 1973 the name was given to the new street [2] .
