Geographical position
The village of Grechkino is located on the left bank of the Esman River, downstream at a distance of 3 km is the village of Zarechye , on the opposite bank - the village of Kholodovschina (Shostkinsky district) . A large forest (pine) adjoins the village. The river in this place is winding, forming estuaries, elders and swampy lakes. Along the riverbed are several peat bogs. At a distance of 4 km is the railway station Pirotchino , along the river there is a separate narrow-gauge line.
