Biography
In 1920, Nikolai Tarasov graduated from the Moscow Choreographic School , his teacher was Nikolai Gustavovich Legat . At the Bolshoi Theater he made his debut in the party of the Knee in the play " Vain Precaution ". From 1920 to 1935, Tarasov was the premier of the Bolshoi Theater, performed parts in the classical repertoire:

- "Giselle" A. Adana - Albert
- Don Quixote by L. F. Minkus - Basil
- "Sleeping Beauty" by P. I. Tchaikovsky - Prince Desiree

- From 1923 to 1960, Nikolai Ivanovich taught at the MAHU .
- From 1942 to 1945 - Director and Artistic Director
- From 1953 to 1954 - the art director of the school.
- In 1929 - 1930 he led the improvement class at the Bolshoi Theater, and from 1933 to 1937 - the artistic director of the pop choreographic technical school.
- Since 1946, Tarasov became a teacher at the GITIS choreography department in the fundamental subject - Classical Dance Technique
- Since 1958 - Artistic Director of the Department of Teachers - Choreographers of GITIS
- Since 1962 - Professor
He was buried at Vvedensky cemetery .
