Early years
James Broadbent was born May 24, 1949 in the English town of Lincoln , County Lincolnshire in a creative family. Mother, Dee Broadbent, worked as a sculptor, and father, Roy Broadbent, worked as a sculptor, interior designer, and furniture craftsman. In addition, they both played in the Lindsay Village Actors amateur troupe, in a small building that Roy Broadbent converted from a former Methodist church into a theater.
Broadbent attended Quaker School in Reading , then College of the Arts, but soon transferred to the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts , graduating in 1972 .
Creativity
Broadbent’s first theatrical work included roles in the Brent National Theater as an assistant to the famous actor Patrick Barlow, where Broadbent appeared in characteristic male and female roles.
