History
The car was presented at the Turin Motor Show in November 1957. Even after many years, the car is highly appreciated by collectors for their appearance [1] .
The 1200 or Granluce Fiat 1200 was designed to replace the Fiat 1100-103 TV. It was equipped with a new engine, a volume of 1221 cubic meters. see, with a power of 55 hp The sedan version was based on the Fiat 1100 and resembled it outwardly.
There was also a version-convertible - “Trasformabile”, based, in turn, on the Fiat 1100-103 Trasformabile model.
In 1959, the Cabriolet 1200 Pininfarina came to replace the 1200 Trasformabile, and in September 1961 the Fiat 1300 came to replace the 1200 Granluce.
A total of about 400,000 vehicles were produced.
