Biography
He started working at the age of 17 as an electrician. He worked at the Yaroslavl high-voltage networks and TPP-3 . He graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute (1967-1971). He took part in the construction of the Saratov hydroelectric station as an engineer and senior engineer. Since 1971, the head of the workshop in Yarenergoremont. Since 1984, Director of Energy Supervision Yarenergo ; since 1995 - Deputy General Director of JSC "Yarenergo"; Since 1998 - General Director of JSC "Yarenergo". Since 2006 - General Director of Yaroslavl Sales Company.
In 2000, he was elected as a deputy of the State Duma of the Yaroslavl Region of the III convocation, chairman of the standing commission on deputy activity, ethics and regulations. In March 2004, he was elected as a deputy of the State Duma of the Yaroslavl Region of the IV convocation in the electoral district No. 5. He headed the standing commission on deputy activity, ethics and regulations. He was a member of the commission on economic policy. Headed the United Russia faction. On March 2, 2008, he was elected as a deputy of the State Duma of the Yaroslavl Region of the V convocation in a single general regional constituency from the Yaroslavl regional branch of the United Russia political party. March 25, 2008 elected Chairman of the Yaroslavl Regional Duma of the V convocation. Secretary of the Political Council of the Yaroslavl Regional Branch of the United Russia Political Party.
On December 18, 2012, he was appointed [1] as a representative of the executive body of state power of the Yaroslavl Region in the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy.
In October 2017, he was appointed Advisor to the Governor of the Yaroslavl Region on energy issues.
Married, has an adult daughter.
