Biography
Born in 1983 in Novorossiysk in a family of musicians. At the age of 6, she began to study music, at 9 she gave the first recital. At age 12, she received the 1st prize at the Children's Music Assembly in Moscow. [2]
In 1995, Anna Vinnitskaya’s family moved to Rostov-on-Don, where the pianist entered SSMSh College at the Rostov State Conservatory named after S. V. Rachmaninov, in the class of Professor Sergei Ivanovich Osipenko [3] . Then she entered his class at the Rostov Conservatory. Anna Vinnitskaya in her interviews declares that her mentor will be grateful for her whole life, because he made her a great musician and put a lot of effort, working together with the pianist on sound. She said that not a single foreign professor pays as much attention to his students as Sergei Osipenko. He always insisted that music should inspire, and the task of the musician is to convey something to the viewer, and not to show how fluently the musician plays keys [4] .
After the successes of 1999-2000 at the International Competitions in Italy, Anna continued to improve her skills in the Higher School of Music and Theater of Hamburg in the class of Ralph Nuttkemper, and then with Eugene Korolev. [2]
With a victory at the International Competition named after Queen Elizabeth in 2007, Anna Vinnitskaya came to world fame and authority of one of the most prominent pianists of her generation. [5] This status was confirmed in 2008 when she received the Leonard Bernstein Prize at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival. [6] In September 2008, after Anna Vinnitskaya’s North American debut in Kennedy Center’s Terrace Theater, Washington Post dubbed the pianist a “lioness at the keyboard.” [7] In 2009, Anna was offered the position of professor of piano at the Higher School of Music and Theater of Hamburg, where she still teaches. [eight]
Anna Vinnitskaya's debut music album, released by Naïve in 2009, included music by Sergei Rachmaninov , Sofia Gubaidulina , Nikolai Metner and Sergei Prokofiev . [9] The CD was awarded the Diapason d'Or Découverte and Choc du Mois awards of Classica magazine. He was also named the best album of the month by the German magazine Piano News , and subsequently nominated for the Modern Classical Awards. [2]
Vinnitsa is actively giving concerts in Europe , Asia and the USA, and performs with famous orchestras, including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra , the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra , the Russian National Orchestra and the Concerthouse Orchestra . Her performance is distinguished by her mastery of phrasing, sophisticated technique and a developed sense of style. [7] [9] [10] [11] [12]
