The village of Khmelevka is located at a distance of 4 km from the village of Krasnopolie , at 2 km - the village of Vidnovka . A drying creek with dams flows through the village. Nearby is the highway T-1901 .

- Khmelevsky farm, named after its founder, appeared somewhere in the middle of the XVII century .
- In the second half of the 19th century , a three-year school existed in the village, the exact date of foundation and by whom it was founded is not known.
Economics
There is no basic economy. All land leased by LLC Semerenki and LLC Chernetchinskoe. Previously, there was Khmelevskaya LLC, and even earlier there was a collective farm named after Gagarin. In Soviet times, 2 large pig-farm (12 thousand heads) and a dairy farm were built, but during the time of independence all this fell into decay.
