Biography
He was born on February 15, 1922 in the village of Mordovo, the Usman district of the Tambov province of the RSFSR (now an urban-type village , the administrative center of the Mordovian region of the Tambov region of the Russian Federation ) in a peasant family. Russian Graduated from 5 classes. Before the war, he worked as a carpenter in the city of Khimki, Moscow Region .
In September 1941 he was drafted into the Red Army . He served in the Pacific Fleet . In the summer of 1942, the sailor Vyaltsev, among the first envoys of the Pacific Fleet, arrived at the front. The battle route near Stalingrad began as a scout in a separate brigade, formed mainly from the Pacific. In the winter of 1942-1943, he made bold raids on skis on enemy rear lines. In the summer of 1943, as a coherent 3rd Infantry Battalion of the 1031st Infantry Regiment of the 280th Infantry Division, he participated in the battle on the Kursk Bulge . For distinction in battles, he was awarded the medal “For Courage” .
In the course of further battles, he becomes an artilleryman, is appointed commander of the guns of the artillery battery of the 1031th Infantry Regiment (280th Infantry Division, 60th Army , Central Front ). On the night of September 25, 1943 F.I. Vyaltsev crossed the cannon across the Dnieper in the vicinity of the village of Okuninovo ( Kozeletsky district of the Chernihiv region ), fought on the bridgehead as part of the calculation, which knocked out the tank, destroyed 3 machine guns, a mortar and two Nazi platoons.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 17, 1943, for the courage and heroism shown when crossing the Dnieper and holding the bridgehead on the right bank, Sergeant Vyaltsev Fyodor Ivanovich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin (No. 13636) and the Golden Star medal ( No. 1895).
During the war he was twice wounded and once shell-shocked (shrapnel wound to the neck and back, shell shock on 07/17/1943 in the Kursk region, wounded on 12/28/1943 in battles in the Zhytomyr region).
In 1945, after graduating from the Penza Artillery School, he was awarded the military rank of “lieutenant”. From 1945 to 1946 he served as part of the Soviet military administration in Germany . Then he was transferred to the city of Kozelsk . Since 1946 - in stock.
After military service he lived in Moscow , and then in Lipetsk. He worked as a carpenter at the Lipetsk Metallurgical Plant . He died on August 21, 1977. He was buried in the village. Mordovo .
