Baron clan

At the beginning of the XVIII century, brothers Dmitry and Osip Alekseevich Solovyov were put by Peter I to lead the Arkhangelsk foreign trade port. In their hands was the export trade of Russia with wheat, rye, flax, resin, hemp.

With the knowledge of A.D. Menshikov, the brothers organized a large-scale smuggling scheme, and accumulated capital they contributed to the banks of the Netherlands and England. Through them, the capital of Menshikov himself also went abroad [2] .

Osip, Dmitry and Athanasius Alekseevich Solovyov were raised on 1 January 1727 to the baronial dignity by Empress Catherine I ; but, since the diploma for granting him this title was not preserved, in 1841 the baronial title was refused and the offspring of Osip in the baronial dignity was not approved.

The offspring of Baron Osip Solovyov (d. 1747) is included in the genealogy books of Moscow [3] , Ryazan and Tula provinces. Of his descendants, Veniamin (c. 1798–1866) and Vsevolod (1801–1871) Nikolaevich, as well as Nikolai Vsevolodovich (1829–1884) Solovievs are noteworthy.

Other noble families

The fourth brother of the Solovyov’s barons, Fedor, who served as a “marshal” in the house of Prince A. D. Menshikov , did not receive the baronial title, but one of the many noble families of the Solovyovs derives from him. The offspring of Fedor Alekseevich is included in the first part of the genealogy book of the Tver province .

By the definition of the Governing Senate of May 5, 1853, the resolution of the Simbirsky noble deputy assembly of February 12 of the same year was approved, on introducing the third part of the noble genealogy of the book of the outward adviser Alexander Fedorovich Solovyov, according to his present rank, received by him in 1823, together with his sons him: court adviser Nikolai, Peter, Mikhail, Jacob, Fedor and daughter Elizabeth, as well as the wife of Nikolai Alexandrovich Solovyov, Ekaterina Alekseevna and their children, sons: Nikolai, Alexander and daughter th - Julia and Sofia (Coat of arms.
