Biography
He studied at the ballet studio of Mikhail Mordkin [1] , and after his emigration and the closure of the studio he entered with his friend Asaf Messerer at the Moscow Choreographic School , where he studied with A. A. Gorsky [2] .
He worked at the Bolshoi Theater , from 1937 to 1938 he received an invitation from the director M.I. Goldblat (a student of A.M. Granovsky , the head of the Moscow GOSET ) to stage dances in the dramatic performances of the Birobidzhan GOSET . According to Boris Kotlerman, “he staged dances perfectly” in the performances “ Wandering Stars ” and “ Tevye the Milkman ” [3] by Sholom Aleichem , “The Robber Boytre”, designed by artists Shifrin and Rabichev . The music for the performances was written by L. M. Pulver [4] [5] .
In addition to working with dramatic actors, Yakov Davidovich Yitzhoki founded a ballet studio at the Birobidzhan School of Music [6] .
In 1944-1949 he taught at the Moscow State Jewish Theater School (MGETU) under GOSET [7] until its closure.
The actress of GOSET was the sister of Yitzhoki Eva Davydovna Yitzhoki .
