Voguéo is part of the Paris public transport system , presented in the form of water catamarans. Vogueo is currently suspended, it was planned to resume the project with simultaneous expansion of the network in 2013 [1] . According to the results of the 2013 tender, it was decided to close the project [2] .
Description
The route took an average of 35 minutes. Unlike tourist pleasure boats, Voguéo, along with the metro, tram and buses, was part of the transport system of the French capital, therefore a pass pass like Navigo operated on the Voguéo catamarans. For one-time trips, a ticket could be purchased directly on boarding (3 Euros for May 2010).
Attractions
On the catamarans of Voguéo, tourists and residents of the French capital had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the places and sights of Paris, which are rarely included in tourist routes: Austerlitz viaduct (metro bridge, which runs the 6th metro line), Charles de Gaulle bridge , opened in 1992, Simon pedestrian bridge de Beauvoir , built in 2006, the National Library of France , the building of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry (a unique building based on the pylons installed in the riverbed of the Seine), Bercy Palace of Sports and Bercy Park . Outside the city, in the department of Val-de-Marne, passengers have a more industrial landscape. Rounding the confluence of the rivers Marne and the Seine, the Shinagora tourist complex, the catamaran Vogeo, completed the route in the Paris suburb of Mezon-Alfort on the Marne river .
Project History
The modern Voguéo project partially followed the route of passenger navigation on the Seine between Süren and Mezon Alfort, which existed right up to the beginning of the 20th century and fell into disrepair due to the construction of the metro.
On June 28, 2008, this type of transport was opened in Paris on the Seine and Marne rivers between Austerlitz station in district 13 and the Maisons-Alfort Veterinary School. In line Vogueo worked in test mode (until the end of 2010), the purpose of which was to assess the profitability of this project.
