Geography
The pogost is located on the left bank of the Great River, 12 km above Pskov , near the villages of Volzhenets and Razdolye .
History
According to legend, Vybyty (in the local pronunciation of Lybyut) is the birthplace of Princess Equal-to-the-Apostles Olga . The Pskov tradition and Lives say that Olga was a carrier from Vybut (Lybut), where Prince Igor met her during the crossing on the canoe across the Great River. Struck by her beauty and wisdom, when the time came to marry, he sent matchmakers for her and took away the Pskov girl [1] .
On the ford of Vybut , in 1407, the Pskov met the Germans by using fords (defenses), “forks” fords - portable fences of poles, which in old times were called thieves , crows , thieves (“and the fords were shut by thieves”).
