Abderrahman Hammad ( Arabic: بدالرحمن حمد , born May 27, 1977 , Dellis , Algeria ) is an Algerian high jumper , bronze medalist of the 2000 Olympic Games.

The athlete's first success was a silver medal at the Pan-Arab Junior Championships in 1994 . Then he won the 1995 African Youth Championship and the 1996 Pan-Arab Junior Championship.
In 1997, he became the champion of Algeria for the first time, starting a series of 9 consecutive victories in national championships. A year later, he won the African Championship, repeating this success in 2000 and 2002.
In 1999, he became the silver medalist of the All-African Games and the World Military Games. In 2000, he showed his best result (2.34 m), which is the record of Algeria, and later became a sensational bronze medalist in the Sydney Olympics .
In 2001, he became the winner of the Mediterranean Games and showed his best result at the World Championships (9th place), in 2002 he took third place in the World Athletics Finals. In 2004, does not qualify for the Athens Olympics , but wins the Pan-Arab Games, in 2007 becomes the bronze medalist of the All-African Games.
After numerous injuries, he ended his sports career in early 2010 .
