Annals of the Kingdom of the Franks report that after the death in 812 of Hamming, a civil war broke out in Denmark. The pretenders to this war were another Godtfried's nephew - Sigfredo ( Sigifredo nepos Godofredi ) and Anulo, Heriold's nephew ( Anulo nepos Herioldi ). Both applicants died in the battle, but since the adherents of Anulo won the battle, the brothers Anulo Herold and Reginfredum ( Herioldum and Reginfredum ) became kings.
