Bolshechapurnikovsky rural settlement is a rural settlement in the Svetloyarsky district of the Volgograd region , adjacent to the southern outskirts of Volgograd .

Economy
The territory of the settlement is crossed by the Volgograd-Elista federal highway. The total length of roads is 112 km, of which 93 km (about 83%) are with hard surface.
Agriculture
In the structure of agriculture, more than 20% is accounted for by crop production, 59% - by livestock, 21% - by fish farming.
The area of agricultural land is 6374 hectares (which is 40% of the total area of the settlement). Of these, 3,790 hectares of land is occupied by arable land.
The Bolshechapurnikovo rural settlement, due to its close position to Volgograd, is a major producer of vegetables, eggs of meat, poultry, fish and other agricultural products; thus, the settlement has an economically advantageous location, which contributes to an effective and stable growth of the level of welfare of the population of two villages.

Interesting Facts
Bolshechapurnikovo rural settlement in 2008 was the richest among the rural settlements of Russia: its annual budget amounted to about 140 million rubles for this period. This is due to the fact that in the territory of the settlement there are settlers of a large chemical plant , which pays large taxes for it [9] .
