The origin and history of the genus

  • They come from Oslan- Murza Chelebay, a noble Tatar who left Russia for the Golden Horde and received holy baptism with the name of Procopius (1389). Procopius was married to Maria Zotovna Zhitova, whose father was a stolnik at the court of Grand Duke Dmitry Donskoy . They had five sons: 1) Arseny - the founder of the Arsenyevs ; 2) Fedor - the ancestor of Somovs ; 3) Jacob Kremenetsky - the founder of the Zhdanovs and the extinct families of the Kremenetsky and Yanovtsevs; 4) Pavel - the founder of the Pavlovs. 5) Leo, nicknamed "The Wide Mouth" - the ancestor of the Rtishchevs [1] .

The oprichniki Ivan the Terrible were listed: Vasily, Oleg, Pronka, Soprysh and Tretyak Pavlovy (1573) [4] .

The descendants of Prokofy Andreevich until the end of the XVI century, by the name of his great-grandson Andrei Pavlovich , were written by the Andreevs, and later adopted the name of the Pavlovs. Of these, Peter Fedorovich Andreev was a regimental commander in Chernigov (1596). His son Rodion Petrovich Fedorov-Pavlov voivode in Pronsk and Ryazhsk (1611-1612).
