Airavata

Ayravata ( Skt. - "risen from the waters") in Hinduism - a white elephant , vakhan god Indra . Airavata has four tusks and seven trunks . His spouse is the elephant Abharama. Other names Ayravaty: Ardhamatanga ("cloud elephant"), Nagamallah ("battle elephant") and Arkodarod ("brother of the sun"). According to the Ramayana , Iravati was the mother of Ayravati. There is a version that Airavata appeared during the Pahtania of the Milky Ocean [1] . In one of the legends, it is described that Airavata was born after Brahma sang the sacred Vedic hymns over the shell of an egg, from which Garuda hatched. Following Ayravata, seven more elephants and eight elephants were born from the shell. Prthu subsequently made Ayravata the king of all the elephants.
