History
For the first time a bloc with the same name appeared in 1999 : Moledet entered into an alliance with the Herut -National Movement and Tkuma parties, which had previously broken away from the National Religious Party ( MAFDAL ). In the same year, in 1999, the bloc in the elections received 4 mandates in the Knesset.
In the 2003 elections , the bloc included the Nash Dom Israel party, Lieberman , Moledet and Tkuma , and he received 7 mandates in the Knesset. Herut ran separately (including the Jewish National Front - “ Hazit Yehudit Leumit ”) and did not go to the Knesset.
In the 2006 elections , the unit re-entered “ Moledet ” and “ Tkuma ”, as well as MAFDAL , and the bloc received 9 seats in the Knesset. The party “Our Home is Israel” went to the polls independently.
In the 2009 elections , most of the parties in the bloc planned to participate in the elections as part of the new bloc “ ha-Bait ha-yehudi ” (“Jewish House”). However, the negotiations failed, and the block was recreated. It includes “ Moledet ”, “ Tkuma ”, “ Hay-Tikva ” and “ Eretz Israel Shelana ” (which did not overcome the passing barrier in previous elections and, in turn, included the “Jewish National Front”), and the bloc received 4 mandates Knesset . The “Jewish House”, as a result, became only a new name for the Mathdal party and received 3 mandates.
Shortly before the 2013 elections , an agreement was reached between “Ihud Leumi” and “Jewish House” to create a common list for the upcoming elections. The HaTikva and Eretz Israel Shelanyu parties left the bloc, creating their own unit called Otsma Le Israel (Force Israel). Thus, the representation of Ihud Leumi in the Knesset was reduced to two mandates.
