Biography

Born on December 25, 1912 ( January 7, 1913 ) in the village of Shima, now the Luga District of the Leningrad Region, in a working class family. Russian. Education is incomplete secondary. He began his career in 1930 as a traveling worker of the Kirov (now October ) railway.

He was called up to the Red Army in 1936, and after graduating from active military service, from 1938, he worked as head of a technical inspection of cars in the depot in Kem, Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic .

In April 1942, drafted into the army, sent to Kestengsky direction of the Karelian Front , where he was a rifleman in the 23rd Guards Rifle Division ( 26th Army ). Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1942. After completing the courses for junior lieutenants in 1944, he was appointed commander of a tank platoon.

During the period of hostilities from June 30 to July 2, 1944, he destroyed up to 200 tons of soldiers and officers of the enemy, suppressed the fire of 8 machine guns , 3 anti-tank guns, smashed one mortar battery and captured a radio operator with a radio station.

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated March 24, 1945, “for exemplary performance of combat missions of command on the front of the struggle against the German fascist invaders and showing courage and heroism”, Junior Lieutenant Fedor Mikheevich Aleksandrov was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union and awarded the Order of Lenin and medal. June 24, 1945 F. M. Alexandrov participated in the Victory Parade and led his tank along the pavement of the Red Square of Moscow.
