Create an album
Hoobastank returned to the studio in the spring of 2003 and began recording new material, produced by Howard Banson, who had previously worked with POD , Cold and The Crystal Method .
In August, the studio activity had to be temporarily interrupted, since Dan Estrin was in the hospital as a result of an injury when falling from a motorbike [1] . In October, the musician went wild and the band went to the Nokia Unwired Tour with The All-American Rejects and Ozomatli . By that time, the recorded album went to post-production .
Success
The Reason made a splash in the world of rock music, causing delight among music lovers in many countries. Robb's vocals became tougher, and the music became noticeably heavier. The single of the same name hit the single of the same name - on the national chart it reached the second line [2] and became the most successful work of the collective for all its existence. In Canada, she spent twenty weeks at the top of the charts, updating the record. Thus, Hoobastank significantly expanded the army of its fans.
Style
Robb's vocals became tougher, and the music became noticeably heavier. Sometimes a key section appears - for example, in Lucky or The Reason tracks. Rob's vocals usually break into the most intense moment of the composition, providing maximum emotional resonance, while the musicians balance on the verge between delicate lyric-romantic melodies and aggressive rock.
The lyrics are mainly devoted to the complexities of an individualβs relationship with the outside world.
Soundtracks
Several songs hit the soundtracks at once:
- "The Reason" in the series Friends
- "Same Direction" in Madden NFL 2005 Video Game
- "Just One" in the Top Spin 2 video game
